So its getting warm out and these are a great sweet snack to try. Keep them away from the kids!

Why You Should Drink Infused Waters

Louisiana Crab Dip

This is hands down one of the best things I've ever tasted in my life.

1/2 pound jumbo lump crabmeat, free of shells
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup grated Parmesan
3 tablespoons minced green onions (white and green parts)
2 large garlic cloves, minced
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon hot sauce
1/2 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.

Crunchy Honey Garlic Porkchops

6-9 pork chops (not too thick, you can use boneless pork loin)
2 eggs
4 Tbs water
2 cups flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. garlic powder
Canola or vegetable oil for frying chops

1 1/2 cups honey
1/2 cup brown sugar (I added this)
1/2 tsp. ginger
dash of cayenne pepper (to your taste)
1/2 cup soy sauce
1 Tbs chopped garlic
2 Tbs butter

Whisk the eggs and 4 Tbs. water together in a shallow dish.


My Aunt Maria's Italian Bake

My Aunt Maria's Italian Bake

3 pounds chicken breasts (cooked & cut into bite size pieces)
6 Italian sausage links
2 jars or spaghetti sauce (I use Hunt's in the can - cheaper & just as good!)
1 pound of pasta, penne, macaroni, shells or what ever you like
1 large package of pizza cheese
1 onion
2 large bell peppers - red & green, cut into chunks


Cucumber Cups Stuffed With Spicy Crab

3 long cucumbers
1/4 cup sour cream (use reduced fat for lower-cal version)
1/4 cup cream cheese, softened (use reduced fat for lower-cal version)
3/4 cup crab meat, excess water removed
1 tsp hot pepper sauce (Tabasco or tapito)
1 tsp brown mustard
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tbs minced green onion
Garnish with chili powder or paprika if desired


Red Lobster's Cheddar Bay Biscuits Recipe

2 1/2 cups Bisquick baking mix
4 tablespoons cold butter
1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, grated
3/4 cup cold whole milk
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Brush on top
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
1 pinch salt

1 Preheat oven to 400°F.

2 Combine Bisquick and cold butter. Don't combine too thoroughly. There should be small chunks of butter about the size of peas.

3 Add cheddar, milk and 1/4 tsp garlic.

Vegan Diary: Avocado Soup

So my partner and I are on a health kick and one of the things we're doing is trying new all vegan or near vegan recipes.

I say near vegan because my partner still eats meat and is having a hard time giving it up so I often include dishes with the option to add meat.

Heres the avocado soup recipe I came up with after I had a few left over after making a bowl of guacamole.

Grape Popperz

48 fresh grapes
Vanilla Greek yogurt(or desired yogurt flavor)
1 cup chopped pecans (may substitute with any nuts) toothpicks

1. Wash grapes and pat completely dry. Spear each grape with a toothpick.
2. Holding the end of the toothpick, dip each grape in the vanilla Greek yogurt ; allow excess coating to drip off.
3. Immediately dip the end of the grape chopped pecans; place on wax paper to dry.
